BRASS CAMLOCK TYPE B

Camlock (also known as cam and groove couplings) are one of the most popular forms of hose coupling due to their reliability and their simplicity. The type b consists of a female camlock on one end, and a male BSPT thread on the other end. Camlocks are designed to be able to carry liquids, gases, granules, powders and they can also be connected to IBC's and spraying equipment. To couple your camlocks, open the coupler arms on the female fitting, and insert the male fitting. The arms are then folded down into the locked position, creating a tight and reliable seal. Click here to see our full range of hose fittings.

Brass Camlock Type B

'Type B' consists of a female camlock and a male BSPT thread. Camlock fittings, also known as cam and groove fittings, are a vastly popular form of hose fitting that see extensive use throughout all industries. One of the reasons for their popularity is that they are very simple and easy to use. They require no special tools to connect or disconnect and the simple lever-lock system means they can replace more traditional and time consuming methods of connecting hose or pipes. Camlock fittings can be found across industries such as: manufacturing; construction; agriculture; oil; gas; chemical; pharmaceutical; and military applications. The Camlock system is ideally suited to applications where there will be frequent changing of hoses.

Brass has unique physical properties not possessed by other metals. It is both germicidal and antimicrobial, particularly in marine environments, where it prevents biofouling. Brass is very commonly used in applications with harsh environmental conditions. It is very resistant to molecular change at higher temperatures (prevents wear in the material such as cracking or disfiguration) and has excellent resistance to salt water.

Rubberlast stock and supply a vast range of hose fittings for all applications and industries. Click here to see our full range of hose fittings.
