Brass DIN Spec Tankwagen hose fittings are a coupling that has been standardized across the road tanker industry. Introduced over 50 years ago, they are now found across Europe and manufactured to DIN 28450 standards. They are connected by pushing the male and female parts together until they are interlocked, then closing the handle securing the lugs together and creating a secure joint. Brass possesses natural germicidal, bactericidal and antimicrobial properties that prevent biofouling.
