Solid Cord – Metal Detectable

This is a high quality metal detectable silicone solid rubber cord. It is used mostly in the pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries as it is food grade approved to FDA standards. Finding fragments of silicone in food, beverages or pharmaceutical products is worry for companies in the production industry. With this product, metal detectors will flag up the smallest fragments of a broken seal or gasket before reaching the end of the line. As a result, safety precautions can be implemented more efficiently.

Food Grade

Silicone is often used in the food, beverages and pharmaceutical industries as it is a low-taint, non-toxic material. This material has been tested to, and is in compliance with the American Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) 21 CFR 177-2600 & Directive EU 1935/2004. This Product also meets the flammability requirements of FAR 25/JAR 25/CS 25 Appendix F, Part 1, (a)(1)(iv) and (a)(1)(v) horizontal flammability tests and Automotive Standard PART 571MVSS302.

Easy To Install

This cord is made of a silicone rubber compound which makes it extremely easy to cut to length using a variety of tools. This silicone cord can be held in place with adhesive without fear of damaging the products due to the materials’ resistance to chemicals.
