Sponge Cord – Black Neoprene

RBL900 is a premium quality closed cell neoprene sponge cord with a proven track record of consistent high quality & fire resistance conforming to FMVSS 302 standards. This product sees extensive use in the movie set and hobby craft industries, along with a diverse range of other applications such as: automotive; glass & glazing; metal work; fabrication; construction; engineering; and transportation.

This particular product is manufactured from a fire resistant neoprene compound sponge rubber. Neoprene is used due to the materials resistance to oils, oil based paints, fuels and chemicals, and a good resistance to weathering and ozone giving it along work life. Closed cell sponges have excellent compression and generally offer up to 99% waterproofing, preventing water ingress.

Easy To Install

This cord is made of a neoprene sponge rubber compound which makes it extremely easy to cut to length using a variety of tools or even to snap by hand. This sponge cord can be held in place with adhesive without fear of damaging the products due to the materials’ resistance to chemicals and oils.
