Cork

Cork is a highly versatile material that is used in a variety of applications such as anti-vibration, gaskets, musical instruments and stoppers for bottled liquids. This material is impermeable, fire retardant, flexible and it has excellent thermal insulating and compression recovery properties. Our cork is sustainably farmed from the Quercus suber tree mainly in Portugal where there are 720 thousand hectares of cork forest (54% of the world's cork production). Due to the ever more prevalent problems presented by climate change, cork is making a return to popularity as the farming of this material is sustainable, carbon neutral and supports the natural habitat for a vast array of wildlife.
