Brass Camlock Type A

Camlock (also known as cam and groove couplings) are one of the most popular forms of hose coupling due to their reliability and their simplicity, The Type A is one of the more common camlock coupling pieces.. They enable you to quickly connect and disconnect hoses and pipework. Camlocks are designed to be able to carry liquids, gases, granules, powders and they can also be connected to IBC's and spraying equipment. To couple your camlocks, open the coupler arms on the female fitting, and insert the male fitting. The arms are then folded down into the locked position, creating a tight and reliable seal. The type A is a standard male Camlock end and a female BSPP thread on the other end.

Brass has unique physical properties not possessed by other metals. It is both germicidal and antimicrobial, particularly in marine environments, where it prevents biofouling. Brass is very commonly used in applications with harsh environmental conditions. It is very resistant to molecular change at higher temperatures (prevents wear in the material such as cracking or disfiguration) and has excellent resistance to salt water.
