IRS 1655 BLACK EPDM
IRS 1655 Black EPDM Glazing (Claytonrite) Section
Glazing Sections - IRS 1655
Glazing sections, also known as Claytonrite Sections, are rubber extrusion specifically designed to connect glass to other panels. They have a locking strip that is inserted rubber to secure the panels in place. To determine which profile suits your needs most, you will need three crucial measurements: glass thickness; panel thickness; and the clearance or 'web gap'. The clearance or web gap is very important because if the profile is too bulky it will be extremely difficult to fit the section in place, and you could break or crack something. If one of the gaps are too big, Sponge Cord can be inserted into the channel to pack out the excess space.

Easy To Install
Glazing sections are a strip of rubber that is inserted into the gap between two panels to create a seal. There is a third space for the filler to be inserted into, the filler is what gives the glazing section grip. We strongly advise taking your measurements from the target area rather than the old rubber section as rubber has tendancy to stretch or shrink with age and use. You'll need true measurements for the perfect fit! Rubberlast also offer a Glazing Tool Kit that can aid with fitting.
